How to export designs as images

This article explains how to export your Visily designs as images. You can export design elements, screens, sections, or your entire board in PNG, JPG, or WebP format to use in documents, presentations, mockups, or share outside Visily.

Export as images from the Export dialog

  1. Open the board that contains the designs you want to export.
  2. At the top-right corner of the board, click Export.

  3. Select Export to image/PDF to open the dialog.

  4. In the Export section of the dialog, choose what you want to export:
    1. Individual screens: Export selected screens from your board.

    2. Individual sections: Export selected sections from your board.

    3. Entire board: Export the full board as one complete design overview.

  5. In Format, choose the image format you want to export.

  6. Choose the export scale you want to use at Scale

  7. Click Export to download.

Export selected designs as images from the canvas

  1. Select the screens, sections, or elements you want to export on the canvas.
  2. Access the export option in either of the following ways:
    1. Right-click the selection, then choose Export to image / PDF

    2. Use the Export option in the selection toolbar, then choose Export to image / PDF

  3. Choose the export scale you want to use.
  4. Select the image format (PNG/JPG/WebP) to immediately export your designs.

Notes

  1. Visily also supports exporting designs as PDF, as well as exporting designs to code.
  2. On the Free plan, export scale supports 1× only. Upgrading to a paid plan lets you export at higher resolution and without watermarks.
  3. For better quality, keep the selected export area under 16,000 px in width or height. Larger exports are automatically resized and may appear blurry.
