How to rename design layers with AI

Use Rename Layers with AI to replace unclear or generic layer names with relevant, descriptive names. This helps keep complex designs organized and makes layers easier to find, understand, and manage.

Before you start

1. Make sure you have permission to edit the board and are in design editing mode.
   
2. You can rename up to 100 selected layers in one request. Each request costs 5 AI credits.

Rename layers with AI

1. Open the Layers panel. Select the layers you want to rename. 
   
   
   
2. Select Rename selected layers with AI.
   
   
   
3. Wait for Visily AI to analyze the selected layers and generate relevant names.
   
4. Review the updated names and edit any layer manually if needed.
   
   

AI-generated names are based on the selected layers and their content. Review the results before using them as part of your final layer structure.

You can also rate the results to let us know whether they were helpful, or undo the action if you prefer to keep the previous layer names.
