How to use spell check in a board
Use Spell check to identify and correct spelling errors in text across your board. Spell check is enabled by default and supports multiple languages.
Before you start
Make sure you have access to the board and permission to edit its content.
How spell check works
When Spell check is enabled, Visily identifies possible spelling errors after you select a text element and enter text editing mode.
Words that may be misspelled are highlighted while you edit the text. Move your cursor over a highlighted word to view suggested corrections, then select a suggestion to replace it. You can also edit the word manually if none of the suggestions are suitable.
Manage spell check settings
Open the board dropdown menu to access the spell check settings. From here, you can:
- Select or clear Check spelling to turn spell check on or off.
- Choose the language used to check spelling.
- Open Manage personal dictionary to add words that spell check should ignore.
When spell check is turned off, possible spelling errors are no longer identified on the canvas. You can turn it on again at any time.
Notes
- Spell check supports multiple languages.
- Product names, abbreviations, or specialized terms may be identified as spelling errors even when they are correct.
- Spell check helps identify possible errors but does not automatically replace or rewrite your text.
