How to use the Color Assistant

Use Color Assistant to check your design for color contrast issues and get suggested color adjustments. This can help improve readability and make your design more accessible, especially when working with light and dark themes or combining similar color shades.

Before you start

Make sure you have permission to edit the board and are working in Hi-fi design mode.

Check your design with Color Assistant

1. Open the board you want to review.
   
2. Open the board dropdown menu, then select Run color assistant.
   
   
   
3. Color Assistant analyzes the designs on your board for color contrast issues and highlights elements that could be adjusted for better visual contrast.
   
   
   
4. Review the identified issues and suggested color combinations.
   
1. Try our suggestion: Apply the suggested color change to improve the element’s contrast.
   
   
   
2. Ignore this suggestion: Skip the current suggestion without applying any changes.
   
3. Ignore all color suggestions for this element: Stop showing Color Assistant suggestions for the selected element.
   
   

Use Color Assistant after making significant color or theme changes to quickly check whether your updated design still has sufficient contrast.
