What you can share in Visily

In Visily, you can share content at different levels depending on how broadly you want others to collaborate or what you want them to review.

Workspace

Share access to a Workspace when you want to invite members to collaborate across the workspace and access its projects based on their assigned role.
Workspace sharing is best for core team members who need ongoing access to multiple projects.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to invite your team to access your workspace.

Teams

Share access to a Team when you want a specific group of workspace members to collaborate within its dedicated Team Space.
Members of the Team can access the folders and boards inside that Team based on their assigned Team permission.
For step-by-step instructions, see Invite members to a Custom Team.
Notes
Custom Teams are available only on the Business plan.

Folders

Share access to a Folder when you want others to access a collection of related boards.
Folder sharing is useful for grouping work by project, client, feature, or team while managing access in one place.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to share a folder.

Boards

Share access to a Board when others need to collaborate on a specific design project. You can invite people directly or share a link, then assign the appropriate permission.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to invite your team to access your board.

Screens and elements

Share a direct link to access a specific screen or element when you want collaborators to focus on a particular part of a board.
This is useful for directing someone to a design section, component, or screen that needs review or feedback.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to share element and screen.
Info
You can also share a prototype presentation link so others can experience and review an interactive flow in Presentation mode, without opening the board editor.

How inherited access works

Granting access at one level automatically provides access to the content beneath it.

For example:
  1. Workspace access may include access to its Teams, folders, and boards, depending on the member’s role.
  2. Team access provides access to the folders and boards within that Team.
  3. Folder access provides access to the boards inside that folder.
  4. Board access is required before someone can open a shared screen or element link from that board.

Note

  1. Choose the sharing level based on how much access the recipient needs. Share at the highest relevant level when someone needs ongoing access to multiple items. Share a board, screen, or element when access should be limited to specific work.
2. Available sharing options may depend on your workspace plan, role, and permissions.
