How to zoom in and out on the canvas

Adjust the canvas zoom level to review design details or see more of your board at once. Zooming changes only your view of the canvas and does not affect the size of your design elements.

Before you start

Make sure you have access to the board.

Use the zoom controls

Open the zoom options at the bottom of the canvas. From here, you can:
  1. Select Zoom in (+) to increase the zoom level.
  2. Select Zoom out (–) to decrease the zoom level.
  3. Enter a specific zoom percentage.
  4. Choose a preset zoom level, such as 50%, 100%, or 200%.
  5. Select Zoom to fit to display all board content within the available canvas area.

Use keyboard shortcuts

Use these shortcuts to quickly adjust the zoom level:
  1. Zoom in: Press +.
  2. Zoom out: Press .
  3. Reset to 100%: Press Command + 0 on Mac or Ctrl + 0 on Windows.
  4. Zoom to fit: Press Command + 9 on Mac or Ctrl + 9 on Windows.

Zoom with a mouse

How the mouse wheel controls zoom depends on your selected mouse scroll behavior:
  1. When Scroll to zoom is enabled, scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
  2. When Scroll to pan vertically is enabled, hold Command on Mac or Ctrl on Windows while scrolling the mouse wheel.

Zoom with a trackpad or touchscreen

Use two fingers to control the zoom level:
  1. Pinch your fingers together to zoom out.
  2. Move your fingers apart to zoom in.
