How to set up text styles in theme settings
Set up text styles in theme settings to keep typography consistent across your board. Text styles define the fonts and text presets used in your designs.
Before you start
- Make sure you have permission to edit the board.
- Text styles in theme settings are applied in Hi-fi design mode. These are not applied in Lo-fi design mode.
Access the board theme color settings
- Open the board where you want to update the theme text styles.
- Open Theme from the bottom toolbar of the board.

- Click Edit to enter theme editing mode.

Select Texts tab. The text settings will open, where you can review and update the typography used in the board theme.
Set up theme fonts
In the Texts section, you can choose the fonts used in your board theme:
- Primary font: The main font used across your board.
- Secondary font: A supporting font used for contrast or variation.
- Tertiary font: An optional additional font used for special text styles, decorative text, or cases where another typography style is needed.
Set up text presets
Text presets help you keep typography consistent across your design. You can create or update presets for common text styles, such as headings, titles, body text, captions, or labels.
Each preset can include settings such as font, size, colors, styles, text case, and line height.
After you apply the changes, the updated text styles are applied to the board theme and reflected in the designs on the board.
Note
- Preview your changes before clicking Apply, as applying text styles updates the designs on the board immediately.
- If you want to reuse the same text setup across multiple boards, save the board theme as a Workspace Theme.
- Generating fonts from text uses AI credits. Each generation costs 5 credits.
